Hi, I’m Macarena!

I first came to El Oasis while studying fashion design. After graduating, I wanted to spend some time volunteering, so in 2024, I did my internship at El Oasis Viña. During that time, I realized I wanted to dedicate my full-time work to this ministry, which is what I do today.

Since I was little, I've been part of different church activities, and I led youth groups for several years. Then the pandemic came, and many of those groups stopped meeting. Over time, I didn't have a place to take part in my church anymore. That's when I found El Oasis, in my last years of college. It was a place where I could go to study and have deeper conversations, exploring faith in everyday life with people who had different perspectives and experiences.

These years have been exciting. I get to walk with young people as they grow in their faith and in their leadership.

Right now, I'm in charge of guiding and training the interns, who, just like me, want to know what it's like to serve for a year at El Oasis. I also lead the leadership group, where we help students who are leaders in their community and their universities build tools to strengthen their leadership with their peers and future professionals.

I think faith is lived day to day, in conversations and in walking alongside others, and that's what I want to keep growing in.

Hola, soy Macarena.
