Lynn teaches English as a Second Language to Turkana church leaders in Kenya, producing materials for them to use in their Bible studies. She also participates in and teaches courses at the Turkana Bible Training Institute, a two-year certificate program for church leaders.
Lynn began her mission work in Africa in 1996, specializing in literacy among the nomadic Turkana people of northwest Kenya. A lack of education indicated that literacy was crucial in establishing a strong, indigenous church. Turkana teachers are now responsible for the literacy program, and Lynn serves as their consultant.
