Grace Smart

Grace Smart is preparing to serve in Kenya in partnership with Missions of Hope International (MOHI). Missions has been a significant part of Grace’s life since the age of 11, when God first began shaping her heart for global ministry. In 2013, she took her first short-term mission trip to Thailand—an experience that completely changed the trajectory of her life.

Since then, Grace has returned to Kenya six times on short-term trips and has also served in several other mission contexts around the world. Through these experiences, she became increasingly aware of how often individuals with disabilities are overlooked and underserved. This reality stirred a deep passion in Grace for individuals with special needs and ultimately led her to pursue formal training in this area. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Special Needs in 2024.

Grace is thrilled to be returning to Kenya to serve alongside MOHI, working with individuals with special needs in the Mathare Valley at a school in the community of Baba Dogo. She is eager to learn, grow, and serve faithfully in this role, and she looks forward with anticipation to seeing how God will move during this season of ministry.
