Gary and Judy Woods oversaw the Church Planting ministry in Tanzania from 2004-2018, and Gary was serving as the Team Leader when they retired in 2018. Since retiring, they have continued to visit the church planters around Tanzania and to teach in the Training course. Since 2004, 250 families – from 45 tribes – have been trained in church planting and gone out to plant over 200 churches.
Gary and Judy and their children arrived in Kenya as missionaries in 1987 to work with the Maasai people in church planting, evangelism and discipleship. In 2004 they moved to Tanzania to empower church planters among unreached people groups.
Gary and Judy are the parents of two adult daughters, Kendra and Harmony, and a son, Jack.
The funds that come into their account help them to continue to travel to Tanzania and Kenya and to help train the church planting students.
