Sophie and her team will be starting a new Globalscope campus ministry in Gqeberha, South Africa.
Sophie is a recent graduate from Emory University, where she studied Human Health. She first visited South Africa on a study abroad trip where she developed a deep appreciation for the country and knew that she wanted to return one day.
During her time at Emory, Sophie was a part of a Christ-centered campus ministry called Bread Coffeehouse. It was here that Sophie first saw Christ’s love radically put into action in a university context. Through Bread, Sophie was connected to CMF and completed a REACH internship at La Ruta, the Globalscope campus ministry in Montevideo, Uruguay. Following her internship, Sophie was invited to join the Globalscope South Africa team and felt God prompting her to pursue this opportunity to create a community like she experienced at Bread in a country she already felt so much love towards. Your support will help Sophie be able to fulfill this calling by launching this new ministry.
Donations to this fund are used where needed most.
