Luz was born in Venezuela and, in 2018, she moved to Chile with her mother and sister. This change of life was a great challenge, as she had to adapt to a new culture and find her place in an unknown country. Despite the initial difficulties, since she was a child, Luz was attracted to the health sector, so she decided to study Pharmacy Technician in Chile. In 2021, she obtained her certificate as a pharmacy assistant, which allowed her to start working formally in this field for the next four years.

During this period, work and studies consumed most of her life, and she felt the need to forge deeper friendships. Thus, in 2022, she found in El Oasis Viña del Mar a place that offered her a healthy community, based on Christian faith and hospitality, which allowed her to strengthen her faith and renew her commitment to God through baptism.

In 2025, she decided to take a step of obedience out of love and become an intern at El Oasis Viña del Mar, a role that allows her to deepen her service to university students. Through her passion for cooking, she wants to share her favorite dishes of Venezuelan cuisine, such as arepas, cachapas and corn cake, made with the region's most tender corn. She hopes it will be a way of connecting with the students, many of whom are far from their families and places of origin, and that through long conversations at the table she can encourage them to get to know themselves better while strengthening their relationship with God.
