David and Teresa bring their extensive church planting experience in England to serve as directors of EQUIP Britain International. As part of the CMF England team, they are involved in recruiting short-term workers to train alongside multicultural church planters in preparation for global service. David and Teresa lead Global Community Church; an international church in Birmingham. They are part of the Discovering Jesus Brum leadership team. This online discipleship ministry uses cutting edge technology to engage in discipleship discussions with people from diverse cultural and faith backgrounds.

The Fittros planted a successful church in Northampton. In Nottingham, they developed a missional work among young people which included partnerships with police, schools, and the local community. Through their work in Birmingham, they are breaking new ground in seeing a movement of disciple making across the UK.

The Fittros are the parents of two children: Nathanael (1993) and Rachael Gidney (1995; married Zach in 2018); and grandparents to Isaiah Gidney (7 Nov 2021).
